When we opened the store in 2011, vintage was not nearly as widespread as it is today. Many actually thought it was a bit strange to buy used items for the home. Fortunately, today it has become something completely different. More and more people can see the value in things that have already lived a life – and that can be allowed to live on.

For us, it has always felt completely right.

WE LOOK FOR BEAUTY – NOT NAMES

There are many skilled antique dealers who are experts in designers and signatures. That’s not quite how we work. We primarily look for beautiful craftsmanship, good shapes, and fine colors. Things that work in a home today – and that feel right when you hold them in your hands. Whether it’s Børge Mogensen or Kähler is actually not the most important thing for us. The most important thing is that the item has something special about it.

Something that makes you want to take it home.

THE HUNT FOR GREAT FINDS

We find vintage in many different places. At markets, with collectors, on trips, and during home visits. And there are also many trips where we find nothing at all. But sometimes it happens: you find the perfect item. A vase, a stool, a table, or something completely unexpected. And then it almost feels like finding a little treasure. That is one of the things we still love most about vintage. In the store, you will especially find:

THE ODD IS OFTEN THE BEST

One of the things we love most about vintage is that the items are not always perfect. There can be small traces of a previous life. And that is exactly what makes them interesting. When you mix vintage with newer items, something unexpected often happens. A little imperfection in the decor that makes a room more alive. And that is exactly how we like it.

A NEW LIFE FOR OLD THINGS

One of the finest things about vintage is that items don’t have to be perfect.

Small signs of use, a patina on the surface, or a slightly off detail are often what makes them interesting. When you mix vintage with new things, a warmth and personality arise that is hard to create in other ways.
