Vintage has been a part of DORA from the very beginning.

When we opened in 2011, not everyone was buying vintage. Today, fortunately, many love the idea that beautiful and useful items can get a new life in a new home.

We find vintage a little everywhere – at markets, from collectors, and during home visits. There are also many trips where we don’t find anything at all. But when the right item appears, it almost feels like finding a little treasure. It is mainly my mother who is early at the market and quick on the keyboard at auctions.

HOW DO WE FIND OUR VINTAGE?

We have worked with vintage since 2011 and continuously look for new finds.
Most items we find at markets, from collectors, or during home visits.
We focus more on beautiful craftsmanship, good shapes, and colors than on well-known designer names.

VINTAGE FOR THE HOME – HANDPICKED FINDS

At DORA, vintage has always been a natural part of our world. We love items with history – objects that have already lived a life and can now find a new place in another home.

In our vintage category, you will find a changing selection of handpicked items for the home. These can be vases, small furniture, stools, mirrors, textiles, and quirky objects that don’t always fit into a specific category – but still add something truly special to a decor.

We mainly look for good craftsmanship, beautiful shapes, and interesting materials. It’s not so important to us whether a piece was designed by a famous designer. The most important thing is that it has character and quality – and that it can still be used for many years to come.

Vintage offers the opportunity to create a more personal interior. When you mix new items with older finds, a warmth and depth often emerge that is hard to achieve with brand-new products alone.

That’s why at DORA you’ll find a selection of vintage interiors that changes regularly. Many items exist in only one copy, making them quite unique.
