My kitchen at home is one of the rooms I love the most. It's where everyday life happens, where people gather, and where I always end up staying a little longer than planned. That's why it was so important to me that the new kitchen felt right – not just practical, but also beautiful and in keeping with the house.
The kitchen was created in collaboration with Kvänum, and my mother and I decorated it together. We both felt that Kvänum's Dalby model was a perfect fit for our house, which has a bit of an English style. There's something classic and calm about it, but still with room for personality.
A KITCHEN THAT CHANGED ALONG THE WAY ✨
Along the way, the project actually changed more than we initially anticipated. When we chose a downdraft extractor hood, we had to rethink the kitchen island to accommodate the solution. This meant we swapped out the island – and fortunately, it ended up being one of those decisions that elevated the entire room.
With the new solution came new colours. The kitchen itself ended up in Peon Black, while the island became Apple Green – both colours from Farrow & Ball. The combination of the dark and the light green makes the kitchen feel classic, fresh, and vibrant all at once.
THE DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
I always love when functionality is also beautiful, and here, the details really matter. The handles help to unify the expression and give the kitchen just the right balance between simplicity and character. You can see our selection of handles here.
What's special about this kitchen is probably that it feels both complete and very personal. It fits the house, but also us and the way we live. And that's exactly what I always hope for when a room needs new life.
FROM STUDIO GREEN TO APPLE GREEN 💚

THE RESULT
We are really happy with the result. The kitchen has been refreshed in just the right way, and it feels both more beautiful, lighter, and more vibrant than before. It's still classic, but with more playfulness and personality.
It's a kitchen I love to be in – and a space that brings together much of what I cherish: colours, function, atmosphere, and good materials.
