This cutting board is made in Sweden from untreated birch wood and can last for years if you take care of it. Finnish Iris Hantverk recommends oiling your new cutting board up to 4 times until the wood no longer absorbs any more. This treatment should then be done regularly throughout the cutting board's lifetime to prevent cracks. When the surface starts to feel worn after a few years of use, take a fine sandpaper and lightly sand the surface.

Note: You should never put a wooden cutting board in the dishwasher or fail to dry it.
Cooking tip: Place a damp cloth or a damp tea towel under your cutting board to keep it firmly in place on the kitchen table.
