Sara's ideas for Christmas gifts in 2025
I think the list of gifts to give in the coming months is quite long. But I also try to think of small “I-care-about-you gifts” for the people in my life.
I give my children advent gifts, while I give small December gifts to my family and friends.
My father and stepmother are coming down from Iceland in December, and my father also has a birthday then. They have everything, but some things can be updated a little.
They will get a salad serving set from Alessi, as it will give the table setting a touch of 2025. For his birthday, there is no way around a book about World War II, so I will have to go to our neighbour Thiemers Magasin.
My dear mother-in-law will get a set with hand soap and hand cream from Baleine. I often give her something a bit nice and fragrant, because she is not so good at prioritizing that for herself.
I love playing games with my children - not too drawn out, but some where we can drink tea with lots of sugar and a little sweet snack. Somehow, we have never taken up Ludo, so I think it is time now.
My lovely friend is getting a zebra jewellery box from Danish Ragbag. She is good at using different jewellery, so unlike me, she takes her jewellery off daily. Then it is good to have a fixed place to put them.
My English neighbour, who has just moved to Denmark, has invited me for Christmas Pudding in December.
They will get a set with my own candlestick and a red candle, as well as a card where I will write about our ritual of lighting candles as part of our Danish cosy tradition.
