Conscious choices – thoughtful design and materials

Bevidste valg – design og materialer med omtanke

At DORA, we try to choose suppliers who make an effort. Not because anyone is perfect – but because they try to make things a little better.

For us, it's about materials, production, and durability. About choosing quality over speed. Some work primarily with responsible materials. Others combine it with social initiatives. The common thread is that there is a consciousness behind it.

AIAYU

Aiayu works with natural materials and responsible production. The collections are timeless and created with respect for both craftsmanship and people. These are textiles that only get more beautiful with time.

CRÉMÉ DE LA CRÉMÉ Á LA HELLE

Small collections created with care – often sewn in Denmark from deadstock and selected quality materials. Helle consciously works with what already exists, giving textiles new life in new forms.

At the same time, her crocheted collections are produced in Bolivia, where women are given opportunities for work and income through traditional craftsmanship. Here, material awareness and social responsibility meet in a close and personal collaboration.

BARNEKAMMER

Barnekammer creates unique products from vintage textiles. Materials that have already had a life are given a new function – and each product carries its own story.

VINTAGE AS A CONSCIOUS PART OF OUR UNIVERSE

We also sell vintage – both to give the store an edge and to add personality to the home. When you choose vintage, you choose something that already exists. Something with patina, character, and history.

It's also a way to shop with a good conscience. We don't buy new when we can use what was already there.

IT'S ABOUT DIRECTION

We know that sustainability isn't black and white. But we believe that small conscious choices make a difference over time.

When we choose suppliers who work with care – whether it's about materials, production, or people – it's our way of taking responsibility. Not perfect. But conscious.

We also collaborate with brands where the focus is especially on creating jobs and social change.
