Parentesi is the name of this lamp and it is therefore quite something in itself - a classic.

It was designed by Achille Castiglioni and

Pio Manzu in 1971 .

This model has a dimmer on it, as the light can otherwise be very strong for private use.

One of Achille Castiglioni's mottos was "Design demands observation". We think it suits this lamp well, because it actually looks quite ordinary, but on closer inspection you can see that it is something special.
