Hollow spoon • Enamel • Splatter Blue
A large serving spoon in enamel, which has holes, so that you can either scoop up the dumplings from the soup, or so that the pasta does not stick so easily. We think it is so nice that we also use it for salad cutlery in addition to being a regular serving spoon. The pattern on the spoon could remind one of a Jackson Pollock painting...
Crow Canyon from California has been producing enamel since 1979. The enamel is made of two layers of porcelain, which are then laid as a surface on steel, resulting in a shiny and durable material. The enamel will not be damaged if you drop the spoon, but small chips may appear, which you must find charming. The steel will oxidize, but the product will remain safe to use for food - even with rejection.
