Collection: BORDALLO PINHEIRO

Our ceramics from Portuguese Bordallo Pinheiro are adventurous to say the least.

The factory was founded in 1884 by the Portuguese artist, caricaturist and ceramist Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro and his younger brother. The lifelike motifs and fantastic shapes quickly became popular and a staple in Portuguese households. And now also in mine - and maybe yours...

The factory has remained true to tradition and still uses the original production methods - and the old molds - with roots in the lifelike motifs that form the entire foundation for the company's philosophy.

And it's so beautifully made... We have everything in cabbage: cabbage platters, cabbage bowls and a few sumptuous cabbage terrines. Cabbage is good! - and is originally a symbol of the common people in Portugal. Both the table and the food look fantastically inviting with the different bowls and plates, and a minestrone in the cabbage terrine is just wow! And then there is the series of fish dishes and the small plates, which are also super fine. I love using them for everything - including dessert ;)

The material is glazed earthenware, and all parts are microwave and dishwasher safe.
